The Book of Witching Book by C. J. Cooke

When 19-year-old Erin is found suffering from severe amnesia next to the ashes of a horrific Orkney island fire, her desperate mother Clem travels to the remote Scottish archipelago to piece together what happened. Clem's search for answers uncovers a dark, centuries-old legacy that directly mirrors the 1594 Scottish witch trials and the brutal persecution of an accused witch named Alison Balfour. As the dual timelines converge, Clem must uncover whether a terrifying psychological trauma or a literal, ancient curse is threatening to consume her daughter.
