Sanford Meisner on Acting Book by Sanford Meisner

Sanford Meisner on Acting follows a diverse class of fifteen students through a fifteen-month acting program under the direct instruction of master teacher Sanford Meisner. The book vividly documents day-to-day class interactions and breakthroughs to illustrate the core philosophy of "living truthfully under imaginary circumstances." Through foundational concepts like the Word Repetition Exercise, it teaches actors to abandon self-consciousness, practice deep listening, and rely entirely on spontaneous impulses.
